So disappointed! I used to love coming here, but the lack of customer service has really changed my mind about this place. It took us over twenty minutes to be served and there were only a few people in line ahead of us. One of the workers answered her phone twice while we were in line and when we were finally helped no one apologized or acknowledged the excessive wait. I was given incorrect change and although it was only a few cents, that was the cherry on top to ensure I will not be back!

I walked in and there were 14 people in line. there was one maybe 16 year old at most boy working by himself and he had screwed up the cash register. He was on his cell phone talking to the manager trying to fix it via text message and giggling. everyone was super impatient and just wanted their ice cream but the boy would not serve any of us even when we offer to pay him more cash than what the ice cream was worth it. After 30 minutes I left. worst service I would never go back.

Worst Cold Stone I have ever been to. I would have had more enjoyment using my 10 dollar bill as toilet paper. Everyone on the staff was clueless and nobody seemed to know what was happening or what was included in the "recipes". Screw them....won't be back.

I'm not sure what happened to this location. They used to have the sweetest server but based on what I saw today, I wouldn't want to work there either. Waited 15 minutes to be told that the owner no longer offer allows ANY substitutions with the signature recipes - which has never been an issue before at this store. The three employees working were rude, and when the guest behind me asked that her dish be made in the back because she had allergies. The person making my dish butted in and very condescendingly told the guest that no, they could not make the dish in the back. Will not return.

I first tried Cold Stone Creamery in Seattle and I've heard continuous good things about it. I had their Cake N Shake there with rainbow sprinkles and it was divine. I've never had better ice cream in my whole life. The staff was very helpful and kind considering her picky customers and it was just her working by herself. When I returned home in Michigan and heard there was one nearby, I went and the staff was rude and didn't care she even had a customer. Not once did she ask if I wanted anything after standing there for a good while. She didn't add in the rainbow sprinkles like I asked and the ice cream itself didn't taste nearly as good as it did in Seattle. It was also very poorly mixed/blended. After returning to my car, it was evident when the employee walked out behind me it was the end of her shift and she didn't seem to care to serve one more customer who wanted a simple shake. I may go here again if I'm in the area, but not if that employee is back.

Grossest Coldstone ever. The ice cream was good but there was dust all over the walls. The two girls working didn't wear hair nets and had their hair was down. There was a very long line and the girl in front of me wanted a smoothie but they said there blender was broken and that they don't put a sign up because they want people to wait and order something else! Oh, and they didn't have any change for cash purchases and the girl handled money and then didn't wash her hands in between . I just recently moved and this is the closest Coldstone to me. I will not be going back. Very disappointed.

When it comes to ice cream, this is the king right here. All the toppings ( from yellow cake to candy to graham cracker crust) to the flavors (probably like 20-25 flavors, all of which you can sample and are not your average flavors, this place is far remove from a Baskin Robbins). My go to is their signature ( one of like 10-12) strawberry blonde with no caramel but the add on of yellow cake. All their stuff here is slap your mama good (cakes, shakes, you name it). I implore you, if you haven't to eat here, it will change you when it comes to ice cream (also if you sign up on line, they do send you a birthday coupon).

Sadly the customer service isn't what it used to be...gone are the singing of the ice cream songs and along with it apparently gone also are the smiles and manners of the employees. I only go now if I have a good coupon. They seem to smash the ice cream into the cups...it gets all over the sides and bottom...they don't wipe it off so it is a fat mess when I get home. Unsure as to why the customer service is so poor; perhaps it is just a lack of training but, maybe they just need to hire some different people. Also, last time I went the ice cream was partially melting in the display freezers and when I got it home it had ice chunks throughout. Looks like this place is going downhill. Too bad..the Cold Stone in New York is great!

Definitely the best ice cream chain. Beats DQ by far shot. Upon my first visit, I was suprised when the worker scooped up the ice cream and start beating on it with metal spoons but I realized they were doing that to mix up the flavor. The ice creams are so good with almost chewy texture from all the fat and they have too much toppings to choose. The store itself is usually very clean and it's in the Arborland so you can look like a true AnnArborian while eating it outside next to starbucks. But damn why is it so expensive.

Man, there are a lot of "cold stone" haters out there. How can you? I am the first guy to hate on a chain place but come on. it's ice cream that they do a bunch of crazy stuff too and mix up with whatever you want. I had never been here before but now am hooked. I had a coffee lover something or other and it was amazing. Heath bar, Caramel, Coffee Ice Cream, almonds etc.... so good. The menu is a bit overwhelming as a first timer here but there are just so many options. I will be back

I'd been here once before, but wasn't very impressed. However, we had coupons for the kids to get free scoops from the Ypsilanti District Library Summer Reading program. So off we went. I was very impressed this time. The staff was singing ice cream songs while they worked. The ice cream was really good. So I won't hesitate to go back. Next time I'll have to get things mixed in!

Totally overrated and over-hyped. I am not going back. The ice cream was very over priced and far to sweet.

I wanted frozen yogurt very badly while I was in Michigan. I LOVE frozen yogurt. I did not see any frozen yogurt places though, so I settled on Cold Stone. I am not a huge fan of Cold Stone to begin with. The flavor of the ice cream is a little odd to me. I was excited to see that there were a bunch of frozen yogurt flavors, and had it not been so busy, I would have sampled a few different kinds prior to making my selection. The place was PACKED though, and it took forever for me to get to order. They were having a fundraiser for a local sorority, which is cool. I totally support that, but they had one guy working the register and another taking care of all the orders. That was it. The other three behind the counter were girls from the sorority who were supposed to be helping, but they could only mix in the topping, which really didn't save much time. They needed some more people behind the counter. I did get a couple samples of the yogurt. I wasn't impressed, but I also felt rushed knowing how long the line was, and I ordered an ice cream flavor I hadn't tried, which I did not love at all. I think it was like Oreo Filling or something like that. I didn't quite get the ice cream/frozen yogurt fix I was hoping for, but at least I got something.

Gah, I hate this place!!! I wish it wasn't so close to my house. The service here is terrible and like the previous reviewer mentioned, the employees are rude, obnoxious, and slow as hell. There's always a line clear out the door, too. It's hard to get excited about waiting 20 minutes to spend 5 bucks on a small ice cream. Occasionally I cave in, but my experience is always the same. I've ordered several ice cream cakes here (my coworkers insist on Coldstone for staff birthdays) with mixed results. I've received the wrong size, wrong cake flavor, etc. The actual ice cream is always really good, though not good enough to make up for the crappiness of the service.

The ice cream is a bit artificial-tasting, though it has a good slightly sticky mouth feel and is kept very very soft -- half melted. For me, this is a good thing -- I like it soft. I haven't tried it with the mix-ins, which means the main attraction here doesn't do anything for me. I like it plain. So I guess I'll stick to Stucchis or even Baskin Robbins, and I pine for Lapperts' in Hawaii!!
